Oracle Financials Cloud - Solution Architect / Project Manager

Served as Solution Architect for an implementation of Oracle Financials Cloud for Bright Healthcare, a health care provider based in Minneapolis.  Completed tasks on behalf of KPMG Consulting, including: 

 

  • Provided timely and accurate project status information to our client’s PMO team, escalated project issues appropriately, mentored cross-functional project team members, and identified and shared implementation best practices with client team members

  • Led discovery phase to fully understand current state financial processes.

  • Along with other KPMG knowledge leaders, I designed and developed all aspects Cloud Cloud solution, including the Enterprise Structure, Chart of Accounts Structure, module-level requirements, and project timeline. 

  • Assigned Project Manager responsibilities throughout the engagement and served as the knowledge leader for Oracle Cloud configuration details and functional efficiency best practices. 

  • Successfully went live at Bright Health with Oracle Financials Cloud on January 1, 2022. 

 

Modules included in the Bright Health implementation included General Ledger, Payables, Purchasing, Receivables, Fixed Assets and Cash Management.

Served as principal consultant for an IT consulting firm that provided one-on-one Oracle consulting, implementation, configuration and project leadership. 

  • Led a successful implementation of Oracle ERP Applications at a shoe manufacturer for the following functional areas:

    • Financials: GL, AP, AR, FA, CM

    • Procurement: PO, Self Service Procurement, Supplier Portal

    • Inventory: Multiple Orgs, Average Costing, Internal and External Transfers

    • Order Management: OM, Order Promising, Shipping

  • Project was completed on time and under budget, completed in 2 years, 3 months (compared to 2 years, 6 months planned) and spending 94% of total budgeted costs

Business Transformation Project Leader / Interim Chief Financial Officer

Replaced legacy ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) with Oracle ERP Cloud. 

After this successful business transformation project, FBI was regrettably forced to file for bankruptcy.  After the then-current CFO resigned, I remained as interim CFO. 

  • Prepared detailed, required, bankruptcy-regulatory documents and financial reports. 

  • Used OTBI and BI Publisher, to successfully create and provide ALL requested financial documentation quickly 

  • Provided the legal and regulatory documents requested during bankruptcy proceedings using the embedded documents added during the Oracle Enterprise Structures configuration. 

  • Oversaw the preparation of all financial reporting; reviewed for compliance with bankruptcy regulations
